ACopa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior sempre foi um celeiro de talentos e narrativas incríveis. Na edição atual da Copinha, por quanto, o River Atlético Clube está levando o título no quesito história de superação. O time de Teresina (PI) viveu um drama às vésperas de partir para São Paulo. No último dia 28, um dia antes do embarque, o clube foi comunicado de que não teria mais ônibus para viajar. O transporte seria cedido pelaFundação de Esportes do Piauí (Fundespi), que alegou não ter como pagar a empresa de ônibus por conta do fechamento dosistema de pagamento do Estado em 2017. O River chegou a publicar no Facebook que sua presença na Copinha estava ameaçada, mas, horas depois, aFundespi voltou atrás e decidiu bancar o transporte. O elenco então pegou a estrada por três dias, passou a noite doRéveillon dentro do ônibus, mas chegou bem na cidade de Capivari (SP) e estreou com goleada. Ufa!

Coordenador das categorias de base do River, Pingo viajou junto com o elenco e viveu todo o carrossel de emoções dos últimos dias. Em papo com o LANCE!, ele contou detalhes do imbróglio que poderia até ter tirado o clube da Copinha.

-A gente fez o planejamento esperando o ônibus da Fundespi. Foi protocolado em 4 de setembro, estava tudo certo, mas aí a gente sabe que governo, né? Na manhã um dia antes do embarque deu um problema lá. Eles botaram o pé na parede dizendo que não dava tempo de pagar o ônibus, que não podiam. Ficou naquele impasse: vai, não vai… O dono da empresa de ônibus disse que só iria se recebesse o pagamento. Por volta de meio-dia,o secretário falou: “Pode liberar o ônibus, que eu garanto que o governo vai pagar”.No último aperto do parafuso, eles acabaram ajudando – comentou Pingo, contando também a correria do clube na busca por um plano B para chegar em São Paulo:

– Cotamos algumas empresas naquela manhã. A mais barata para fazer a viagem cobrou R$ 17 mil. O presidente saiu em busca de parceiros para ajudar financeiramente. Passamos a manhã revendo o planejamento, até aFundespi autorizar o ônibus. Não deixamos preocupação aos jogadores. Falamos: “Não se preocupem, porque a gente vai de qualquer jeito. Vamos até em ônibus de rodoviária, mas vamos”. A gente não iria deixar de ir. Lógico que estávamos preocupados, mas a gente passou tranquilidade ao elenco na hora.

Com a resolução do problema, a viagem que iria sair no plano B por R$ 17 mil, além dos custos com alimentação pelo caminho, foi realizada pelo valor de R$ 9 mil já contando a refeição da delegação e combustível. A viagem começou na noite do dia 29, quase dia 30, e acabou nas primeiras horas do dia 2 de janeiro. Foram 2,6 mil quilômetros de estrada – que de carro, sem parar para descanso e alimentação (algo impensável para atletas), seriam feitos em 31 horas.

– O ônibus só parava no café da manhã, almoço e jantar. Uma hora para comer e dar um trotezinho para não atrofiar a parte muscular. Dormir era no ônibus. NoRéveillon a gente estava passando por Brasília, eu acho. Estava dormindo, nem vi (risos). O motorista até falou para a gente parar em algum lugar meia-noite, para jantar, mas no fim decidimos: “Os jogadores vão estar dormindo, vamos se embora (sic)”. Nessas viagens longas os atletas querem é descansar. Só no café da manhã é que teve abraço de feliz Ano Novo – disse Pingo.

O River-PI estreou na Copinha na última quarta e, quando a bola rolou, o time mostrou que as dificuldades não abalaram. O Galo goleou o Capivariano, dono da casa, por 3 a 0, e saiu de campo aplaudido pela torcida local. Neste sábado, o time enfrenta o Botafogo, às 11h. O duelo vale a liderança do grupo 13.

– Muitos jogadores do grupo estão com o professorGiva (Albuquerque) desde o sub-15. Tem jogador que está jogando a terceira Copinha. A gente também trouxe alguns jogadores do Maranhão e dois paulistas, para fortalecer ainda mais. O elenco está treinando desde fevereiro do ano passado, jogando um ciclo de competições. É um grupo que se conhece bem. Estávamos temerosos pela estreia, por ser contra o time da casa, pela ansiedade, negócio de arbitragem, torcida, mas acabou que deu tudo certo – falou Pingo.

O River é o atual campeão piauiense sub-19. E até onde o time vai na Copinha? Pingo já traçou uma meta para a equipe:

– Nossa pretensão é passar duas fases. Depois vai afunilando e a gente sabe que os times grandes vão chegando fortes. Passando da fase de grupo e um mata-mata, depois é ir o mais longe possível. Mas nosso foco é só no Botafogo agora. Já é um jogo que vale classificação. Vencemos um time bom, mas ainda não ganhamos nada. O técnico do time principal está monitorando direto os meninos aqui, perguntando sobre eles. Um bocado de menino, uns dez, vai incorporar o profissional para jogar o campeonato estadual. Confiamos neles.

Afghanistan, ahead of their first major tournament featuring the game’s top sides, are coming off two consecutive warm-up wins and that was enough indication for Dhoni to rule out complacency on India’s part.”If you ask me, I would not consider our opening match against Afghanistan as a practice game,” Dhoni told reporters in St Lucia. “I don’t take my opponents lightly. At the end of the day you have to win whichever team you play. I don’t know much about them. It is good in a way because if we know too much about a side then you are thinking too much about them. However, our preparation will remain the same as if you are playing the best opponent in world cricket.”We can’t really relax against whichever team you are playing. At the end of the day you are representing India and you have to be at your best when you turn up on the field.”India will be without Virender Sehwag and a few players are short on match practice but Dhoni was his normal, collected self when addressing the matter. “It is part and parcel of cricket that people get injured. But at the end of the day we have replaced them with the best possible players available,” he said. “We are just hoping that we won’t miss them on the field. We are hopeful that people who have come as replacements would step up to the occasion and perform.”Yuvraj Singh had a disastrous IPL but Dhoni defended his explosive batsman, whose status as a Twenty20 bully was cemented in the first World Twenty20 during which he hit Stuart Broad for six successive sixes in an over. “He bats at number four and the individual he is, he can easily play the big shots. There aren’t enough grounds in the world that are big enough for him not to clear,” said Dhoni. “These big hitters have a big impact on the game. Somebody like Kieron Pollard or [Andrew] Symonds are the kind of players who can take the game away from the opponents in three or four overs. It is a big stage for him [Yuvraj] and, as we have seen of him, he loves challenges.”Dhoni’s focus was not on the past – India were knocked out of the last World Twenty in the second round – and he said the team was eager to get off to a winning note. “Rather than thinking too much of the past and into the future, it is very important to be in the present. Celtic have been dealt a huge blow in their bid to secure Vasilis Barkas a move away from Parkhead this month.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by the Daily Mail (via the Daily Record), who claim that Sheffield United were in talks to sign the Celtic goalkeeper on a temporary basis this month, however, the Blades have now pulled out of the deal upon the Bhoys’ request for the Championship side to pay them a loan fee.

The report goes on to state that Celtic also attempted to place a £2.5m option to buy clause in the 27-year-old’s temporary contract, while United were looking to negotiate a lower fee.

It was also believed that the Hoops were demanding the second-tier side picked up the vast majority of the Greek international’s £20k-per-week wages.

Fans will be fuming

Considering just how poor Barkas has been since his £4.5m move to Celtic back in the summer of 2020, the news that Sheffield United’s move for the ‘keeper now appears to be dead in the water is sure to have left the Parkhead faithful gutted.

Indeed, over his 15 Premiership appearances last season, the £1.35m-rated shot-stopper failed to ever really stake his claim at becoming the Bhoys’ undisputed number one, making an average of just one save and conceding 0.7 goals per game.

These returns saw the 27-year-old earn an extremely disappointing seasonal SofaScore rating of just 6.79, ranking him as the Hoops’ joint ninth-worst performer in the top flight of Scottish football last time out.

Furthermore, since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival in Glasgow last summer, the Greek ‘keeper has featured just twice under the management of the 56-year-old, something which renders Barkas’ £20k-per-week wage as money well and truly wasted.

As such, the news that a team of Sheffield United’s stature were even interested in the shot-stopper will perhaps come as a surprise to many Celtic fans, while the fact that the deal now looks to have fallen through will undoubtedly come as a huge blow to Postecoglou – who could have easily spent the goalkeeper’s wages on a target of his own this month.

This has been a frantic transfer deadline day for Everton and in the build-up to the 11pm deadline on Monday, the Toffees were eyeing a third deal.

What’s the word?

Everton confirmed Frank Lampard as their new boss today and also announced the signing of Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United.

Dele Alli is also set to put pen to paper at Goodison Park but a third surprising deal could be on the cards.

The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath said on Twitter: “England Under-20 goalkeeper Billy Crellin set for medical at Everton ahead of move from Fleetwood.”

Lamps will love him

Considering the undoubted amount of potential that Crellin has, particularly as a young player, he is a footballer that Lampard will surely love.

After all, this is a manager who is known for his work with young domestic players, taking the likes of Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Reece James from periphery players at Chelsea to regular first-team names.

It was a similar story at Derby as well where he developed Tomori and Mount too, also taking Harry Wilson to the next level.

With that in mind, Crellin clearly sees this as a good step. He will have to dislodge Jordan Pickford but under a manager like Lampard, he certainly stands a good chance.

The Fleetwood stopper has only played 13 times for them at senior level but at the age of 21, clearly has ideas of playing at a higher level.

A senior debut in Merseyside in the immediate future seems unlikely but the new Everton boss has shown he is willing to hand opportunities to those rising through the ranks.

As a result, he may well have unearthed a new star in the Football League ‘keeper.

Haroon Lorgat, the ICC chief executive, is aware that cricket is facing another challenging time following the recent revelations from the IPL and the task of maintaining the status of Test cricket in an increasingly crammed schedule. There is a growing fear that the game has opened itself up to a new wave of corruption with the sums of money now involved in Twenty20 plus the ease of access to matches now provided by satellite TV and the internet.The ICC’s Anti Corruption and Security Unit, which has been in operation for 10 years since the Hansie Cronje scandal, has worked hard to ensure a clean sport but wasn’t involved in the first two seasons of the IPL. It now has a new head man in Ronnie Flanagan following the retirement of Paul Condon and Lorgat said plans remained in place to deal with new and existing issues.”It would be naïve not to realise that the greater the sport becomes, the more exciting it becomes, the more money it attracts, the bigger the challenges,” he told Cricinfo in St Lucia. “We have got a very solid foundation and structure in place to deal with most of these challenges that come to the table. On a daily basis we deal with issues and we do so successfully. I think we have a system which is pretty robust to deal with most things that we face.”The other question posed by the explosion of Twenty20 is a more prosaic one of how to manage an already crammed international schedule. Lorgat confirmed that the new Future Tours Programme cycle has been “agreed in principle” but added that it was almost reaching breaking point.”There are a few caveats we are working through to confirm it,” he said. “There isn’t much more room if you think there are ten Full Member countries who bilaterally arrange fixtures, then there are the global events which are pencilled in, which doesn’t leave much more space. All the international fixtures we have pretty much fills up the FTP.”The plans for a World Test Championship remain on the table and Lorgat is “excited” about what could be brought to the next ICC meeting in June. Various models have been suggested to try and bring context to Test series, ranging from a two-year rolling table to a two-divisional structure, but Lorgat feels the five-day game is now in better shape after a worrying time.”Less than two years ago there were concerns,” he said. “I went to watch Australia play India in Mohali and I think it was the very game Sachin Tendulkar crossed 12,000 runs. There wasn’t much support which was a concern.”That isn’t what you want to see for the pinnacle of the sport. We are very keen to promote Test cricket and build context but importantly it’s the quality of the games that will attract interest and I think people are starting to realise we need to proactively do something about it.”With the hectic schedules in mind, Lorgat is content that Twenty20 has found its home on the international stage. There have been three successful tournaments with the current event in West Indies concluding on Sunday in Barbados.”I think the way we have it where every alternate year we play a world event at Twenty20 and the member countries are limited in terms of how many T20s they play is the right sort of balance,” he said. “The majority is then played domestically, which is about right.”He also hinted that the ICC would be keen to reduce the length of future 50-over World Cups following the success of the three World Twenty20 events and the Champions Trophy in South Africa. “That was in our minds when we planned it [the 2011 World Cup] and we shaved off six days for the one next year,” he said. “That’s the maximum we could cut out and if we can in the future we will cut off more days.”

Esse foi o time que iniciou o jogo contra o Rangers (ESC) e venceu o primeiro por 2 a 0. Guilherme Romão jogará na lateral esquerda porque Juninho Capixaba, contratado do Bahia, não foi regularizado a tempo. É a principal novidade.

O treino também teve a presença de Danilo. O meia não jogou a Florida Cup porque em treino nos Estados Unidos sentiu a panturrilha esquerda. O problema, porém, não foi grave, e ele fez um trabalho físico à parte nesta segunda. Deve ter condições de jogo em breve. Já o zagueiro Yago, que não viajou por conta de um problema muscular na coxa, também foi ao campo e fez uma atividade mais leve, de transição.

Uma reviravolta em um intervalo de três horas movimentou ainda mais o fim do recesso judiciário nesta segunda-feira envolvendo o processo da urna 7 da eleição do Vasco. Sorteado nesta tarde como relator do mandado de segurança impetrado por Eurico Miranda via Vasco, no Pleno e Órgão Especial do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ), o desembargador Luiz Zveiter declarou suspeição e não julgará mais o caso.

Na decisão na noite desta segunda (confira íntegra do documento abaixo), Luiz Zveiter afirmou “declaro minha suspeição por motivo íntimo para processar e julgar o presente feito, nos termos do artigo 145, § 1º do Código de Processo Civil”. Mais cedo, membros da oposição afirmaram ao LANCE! que viam o caso com receio por conta do Zveiter ser amigo pessoal de Eurico Miranda e logo ele ter sido sorteado dentre cerca de 30 pessoas possíveis.

Com a suspeição de Luiz Zveiter declarada, um novo sorteio será realizado de forma automática para a escolha de novo desembargador na relatoria – o que deve ser feito pelo TJRJ até esta terça-feira. Pessoas dos bastidores ouvidas pelo L! haviam dito em contato com a reportagem que Zveiter julgando o caso era “a última cartada de Eurico Miranda” neste processo da urna 7 do Vasco. A saída dele do caso é vista com bons olhos pela oposição cruz-maltina.

Na teoria, na semana que vem, vale lembrar, precisaria ser realizada a eleição do Conselho Deliberativo para definir a Diretoria Administrativa do Vasco (presidente, primeiro vice e segundo vice) para o triênio 2018-2020. Com a decisão atual da desembargadora Márcia Ferreira Alvarenga, a urna 7 foi anulada (apesar da posse seguir sub judice) no pleito indireto – após perícia declarar que não há evidência de regularidade nos documentos apresentados pelo Vasco que deveriam comprovar que os 475 sócios que votaram na urna fosse regulares.

“De fato, apesar da atual administração ser a maior interessada na produção da prova referente à regularidade social dos 475 sócios votantes na urna 7, sequer apresentou qualquer comprovante de pagamento individual dos sócios gerais, para aquisição dos títulos patrimoniais, a fim de demonstrar que os mesmos estavam regularmente inscritos no quadro social do Clube, o que não seria difícil obter junto à empresa gerenciadora de seu banco de dados e cobrança. Muito pelo contrário, limitou-se a apresentar, tão somente, balancetes globais e algumas fichas de inscrição, não suficientes para espancar as dúvidas quanto à existência de eventual fraude a macular a eleição ‘sub judice'”, escreveu a desembargadora Márcia Alvarenga na última decisão válida.

Com todo este processo, atualmente, o cenário faz com que a chapa de Julio Brant (Sempre Vasco Livre) seja considerada a vencedora da primeira parte da eleição do Vasco (realizada em novembro do ano passado) e poderá, seguindo assim, colocar 120 conselheiros eleitos. Enquanto isso, Eurico Miranda (Reconstruindo o Vasco), segundo colocado, colocaria 30. Os 150 eleitos se juntarão a outros 150 conselheiros – natos -, totalizando os 300 que irão votar quem será o novo mandatário. Apesar de nunca ter acontecido na história do Vasco, matematicamente há chance de o segundo lugar nas urnas vencer no conselho (bastaria ter 121 dos 150 natos).

Após a decisão do Tribunal Pleno e Órgão Especial – soberana ao decidido até então pela 52ª Vara e 17ª Câmara Cível -, caberá recursos na presidência do TJRJ e em Brasília. O LANCE! procurou o Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Por meio de nota, o órgão afirmou que o sorteio é feito automaticamente pelo sistema eletrônico do Tribunal e que não comenta denúncias. Sobre a questão do recurso ter sido colocado para o sorteio após alguns serem realizados, o Tribunal não viu relação com o caso para comentar. Até a publicação desta reportagem, partes de situação e oposição do Vasco não se manifestaram oficialmente sobre o caso. Eurico Miranda convocou uma coletiva para a tarde desta terça-feira em São Januário e deve se pronunciar pelo lado da situação sobre este caso.

Além deste recurso, um segundo – agravo de instrumento – também foi impetrado pelo atual mandatário cruz-maltino na 17ª Câmara Cível do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. O objetivo dos dois é suspender a eleição até que tenha uma decisão transitada em julgada, o que prorrogaria automaticamente o mandato que termina na semana que vem.

Em novembro, o LANCE! entrevistou com exclusividade dois sócios que denunciaram esquema de aliciamento e irregularidades na eleição do Vasco, com membro do alto escalão da diretoria do Cruz-Maltino, comandado por Eurico Miranda. Um dos denunciantes, inclusive, por exemplo, tem no cadastro do Vasco um número de CPF inexistente. Além dos dados cadastrais falsos, nunca pagaram mensalidades ao clube cruz-maltino, com datas retroativas feitas por um período maior de um ano apenas para terem condições de voto de maneira irregular. Estas denúncias, com provas das mesmas, como o citado CPF em um cadastro de um sócio que não era dele, contribuíram nas movimentações das últimas semanas em toda a polêmica eleitoral.

“Art. 145.
Há suspeição do juiz:

I – amigo íntimo ou inimigo de qualquer das partes ou de seus advogados;

II – que receber presentes de pessoas que tiverem interesse na causa antes ou depois de iniciado o processo, que aconselhar alguma das partes acerca do objeto da causa ou que subministrar meios para atender às despesas do litígio;

III – quando qualquer das partes for sua credora ou devedora, de seu cônjuge ou companheiro ou de parentes destes, em linha reta até o terceiro grau, inclusive;

IV – interessado no julgamento do processo em favor de qualquer das partes.

§ 1º Poderá o juiz declarar-se suspeito por motivo de foro íntimo, sem necessidade de declarar suas razões.

§ 2º Será ilegítima a alegação de suspeição quando:

I – houver sido provocada por quem a alega;

II – a parte que a alega houver praticado ato que signifique manifesta aceitação do arguido”
