O acordo entre Pablo, Corinthians e Bordeaux para compra dos direitos econômicos do zagueiro por parte do clube brasileiro travou nos últimos dias, a ponto de o empresário do jogador de 26 anos considerar a negociação suspensa. Fernando César, advogado e representante de Pablo nas conversas, se manifestou sobre o caso via redes sociais no início da noite desta terça-feira.

“(…) Apesar de já termos acertado prazo contratual, salários, luvas e comissões, o Corinthians não conseguiu os recursos ou deu garantias de pagamento para viabilizar a finalização do contrato conforme combinado. Diante disso, a compra do Pablo pelo Bordeaux está suspensa, devendo o atleta cumprir seu contrato de empréstimo até 31 de dezembro”, escreveu o agente.

Segundo apurou o LANCE!, o Corinthians decidiu adicionar cláusulas no novo contrato de Pablo que não estavam previamente combinadas: o pagamento de luvas pela assinatura do vínculo seria diluído ao longo de quatro anos, condição não aceita desde o início das negociações pelo estafe do jogador. Procurados, dirigentes do Timão não atenderam as ligações.

O Corinthians já tem acerto com o Bordeaux há uma semana parapagar 1,2 milhão de euros (cerca de R$ 4,4 milhões) e ainda ceder 15% dos direitos econômicos de Malcom que ainda detinha pela compra da totalidade dos direitos de Pablo. O que trava a conclusão do negócio, entretanto, são as condições entre o próprio jogador e o clube brasileiro.

Pablo foi contratado por empréstimo pelo Corinthians no início do ano, tornou-se titular incontestável ao lado de Balbuena. Ele realizou 38 jogos e tem dois gols marcados. O zagueiro se recupera de uma lesão muscular na coxa direita e será desfalque por cerca de mais cinco semanas.

Former Pakistan batsman Ijaz Ahmed was remanded in custody for 14 days on Friday after a magistrate rejected his plea for bail in a forgery case. Magistrate Mohammad Younis Awan conducted a hearing for the case in which Ijaz was alleged to have issued false cheques worth Rs 10.05 million (approximately US$1.3 million) to two clients, reported to be property dealers.”The magistrate has put off Ijaz’s bail plea, remanded him for 14 days and directed police to provide him with medical facilities as he was unwell,” a court statement said.Ijaz, 40, last week had pleaded his innocence and said he would take the accusers to court. He was arrested on March 26, but was taken to hospital after suffering a bout of asthma and breathing problems.Kashif Javed, Ijaz’s lawyer, said his client would return to hospital. “We will continue to seek bail when the case resumes and hopefully police will send him to hospital later on Friday, as he was still unwell,” Javed told .Ijaz played 60 Tests and 250 ODIs and was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 1992 World Cup. Following his retirement from international cricket, he had been working as the fielding coach of the national team for the last few months. He was earlier on the selection committee and had also served as senior coach at the National Cricket Academy.

Cícero vinha sendo relacionado e chegou a entrar em campo contra o Grêmio, há duas semanas. Mas, depois do treino dessa terça-feira, foi comunicado pessoalmente de que não faz mais parte dos planos do Tricolor. Seus empresários já foram informados de que podem procurar um novo clube para ele.

Cícero tem contrato até dezembro de 2018 e chegou de graça, mas com parte de seus salários ainda pagos pelo Fluminense, seu ex-clube. Como já participou de dez rodadas do Campeonato Brasileiro, não pode atuar em outra equipe da primeira divisão. No primeiro semestre, chegou a ser sondado pelo Inter, mas o interesse esfriou.

Não foram revelados os detalhes da decisão, mas o comportamento de Cícero foi considerado um problema. O volante Wesley, por exemplo, negocia sua rescisão de contrato há quase um mês e também está oficialmente fora dos planos do clube, mas vem treinando normalmente com o elenco.

Veteran Australian opener Justin Langer, 38, is reported to be in talks to return to Somerset in 2010.Langer’s current contract expires at the end of the summer, but he told the Somerset County Gazette that he was keen to return. “I’m in discussions with the club,” he said. “I just have to work out my family situation.”There are bigger issues for me than to just play cricket. I have to make sure my family can settle into school and stuff but I am very keen to come back next year. The club isn’t in too much of a hurry over a decision and I have to weigh everything up first.”I enjoy helping the side improve as much as getting runs myself. An update has emerged regarding a possible move to Newcastle for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

What’s the talk?

According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Frenchman’s agent has been in contact with the Magpies over a potential transfer in 2022.

The report claims that his representatives are speaking with both Newcastle and Juventus as his Barcelona contract continues to wind down. Both clubs will be able to secure a pre-contract agreement with the forward in January, as his current deal expires at the end of the season.

Could be a dream deal for Newcastle

PIF must take advantage of this situation with Dembele and strike a January deal for his services. They are in talks with his agent and that suggests there is a realistic chance of something happening between the two parties, as otherwise they would be wasting their own time.

The biggest stumbling block could be the challenge of Juventus, but Newcastle could tempt him with the prospect of regular first-team football and an opportunity to play in the Premier League. In Turin, he may not be a regular first-choice starter ahead of the likes of Federico Chiesa, Paulo Dybala and Dejan Kulusevski.

Bringing Dembele to St James’ Park could be a dream deal for Newcastle as he has proven himself at the top level whilst still having plenty of room to develop even further. The forward has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in his last 42 starts for the Spanish giants in La Liga, showing that he can provide quality in the final third.

Former Barcelona icon and current PSG forward Lionel Messi once lauded the French attacker as a ‘phenomenon’ whilst playing alongside him. The Argentine said: “On the pitch he’s a phenomenon. It’s up to him where he ends up, he could be one of the best. He’s young and he is adapting.”

If Messi rates the £45m-rated wing wizard highly, that says a lot about the talent he possesses. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner believes that Dembele has a very high ceiling and Newcastle could help him get there by offering a platform to excel in the top-flight in England.

Therefore, PIF must ensure that they can pin him down to a pre-contract agreement in January by negotiating terms with his agent. He could improve the current squad with his goals and assists whilst still holding the potential, at the age of 24, to increase his value and improve further in the future, which is why it would be a dream deal for the Tyneside club.
