Neste sentido, o Imortal Tricolor só conquistará a vaga através da Copa do Brasil caso derrote o Alviverde e levante da taça do torneio pela sexta vez. A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) já definiu o regulamento, e o vice não herdará a vaga, ficando automaticamente com o sétimo ou até o oitavo colocado do Brasileirão.
“O clube vice-campeão da COPA não terá direito, através desta competição, à vaga na Conmebol Libertadores”, segundo o regulamento oficial da Copa do Brasil.

Sendo assim, “a vaga será repassada a um clube do Campeonato Brasileiro da Série A, respeitando a ordem de classificação”. Caso o Palmeiras conquiste a competição continental, o Brasileirão passará a ter um G7. Além disso, se os paulistas levantarem a taça da Libertadores e o Grêmio vencer a Copa do Brasil, o campeonato terá um G8, se ambas as equipes estiverem na parte de cima da tabela (entre os seis primeiros colocados).
Nesta terça, o Palmeiras perdeu para o River Plate por 2 a 0 no Allianz Parque, porém por ter ganho de 3 a 0 na Argentina, garantiu uma vaga na final da Copa Libertadores 2020. A equipe paulista aguarda a definição do adversário, que será definido nesta quarta, no confronto entre Santos e Boca Juniors, na Vila Belmiro. A decisão será realizada no dia 30 de janeiro, no Maracanã, às 17h (de Brasília).

Vale destacar que as datas e horários das finais da Copa do Brasil poderão ser alteradas pela CBF caso o Palmeiras seja campeão da Libertadores, já que no início da fevereiro será disputado o Mundial de Clubes da FIFA, no Catar. Antes disso, Palmeiras e Grêmio se enfrentam nesta sexta-feira, às 21h30, no Allianz Parque, pela 30ª rodada do Brasileirão.

1 Grady Diangana

Conor Townsend has also been underwhelming this campaign after the Baggies full-back proved integral for West Brom going forward last season with three goals and three assists.
19 games into this new term, however, Townsend only has one solitary assist next to his name with the usually dependable 30-year-old now quiet down the flanks for the promotion hopefuls.
West Brom's number three has also had his fair share of off-days recently carrying out his standard defensive duties, Townsend noticeably below-par when the Baggies lost 2-1 on their travels to Southampton last month.
Winning only two of his eight duels playing at St Mary's, the Saints grew in confidence as a result of the £11k-per-week full-back's lack of fight and won the contest come full-time.
Corberan will want his experienced Baggies defender to up his performances in the contests to follow, urging Townsend to be more adventurous going forward whilst remaining switched on at the back to help goalkeeper Alex Palmer collect more clean sheets.
3 John Swift
Corberan will be glad to have John Swift back fit and ready for selection after a lengthy injury, but he'll need the ex-Chelsea man to contribute more in attack soon and perform to the level he was managing week in week out before the lay-off occurred.
Understandably rusty, £22k-per-week Swift will also be eager to blow the cobwebs off soon by getting back on the scoresheet regularly.
Before picking up an injury, the attacking midfielder was in a rich vein of goalscoring form – scoring six times for West Brom in the Championship.
Since returning to the team however, the Baggies star has been unable to pick back up from where he left off with no further goals added to his tally.
Corberan will hope he can get the best out of his 28-year-old midfielder again, who had a dire 45 minutes last game against Leicester when introduced into the contest at the interval – accurate with zero of his crosses or long balls in the second half, failing to test the opposition goalkeeper also with no efforts attempted.

15 Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 2016/17 From PSG, free
Some say that the best things in life come for free and in fairness, you'd be hard pushed to disagree with the well-known proverb in the case of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I don't need to rattle on about Zlatan's goal record too in-depth, but let's just say the then-free agent brought that same tenacity to Old Trafford back between 2016-18. Despite many wondering if he'd continue his form after life as PSG's headline stealing maverick, he did just that in his brief stint with an in-transition United.
He had aged like a fine wine and immediately on entrance made an impact. He took up the number nine shirt, and built on his 156 goals in 180 all-competition games with the Parisians – scoring 29 in 53. There were trophies as well as goals, too – as Ibra helped United to the 2016 Community Shield, UEFA Europa League and EFL Cup. Success? Yes. Impact made? Yes.
14 Edwin van der Sar – 2004/05 From Fulham, £2 million
This key member of Ajax's Golden Generation arrived at Manchester United from Fulham on the 1st of August 2005 for £2 million. That fee looks ridiculous now, considering just how good van der Sar was, and of course how much the market has changed. At United, the former Ajax, Juventus and Fulham man totted up 263 total appearances and a remarkable 135 clean sheets in a six-year spell.
In that time too, the Dutch international was a marvellous foundation on which United built on to capture four Premier Leagues (three of those successive from 2006-07 to 2008-09), two Football League Cups (2005-06 and 2009-10), three FA Community Shields, a Champions League in 2008 and a Club World Cup victory that same year. His individual accolades stretch just as far, and it's no wonder why Alex Ferguson described him as the best goalkeeper to have played for Manchester United.
13 Ji-sung Park – 2004/05 From PSV, £4 million
Another signing from 2004/05's season, Ji-sung Park arrived a little under the radar and developed into one of the most underrated midfielders the Premier League has ever seen. With a tireless engine, excellent workrate, and endearing commitment to his team – United signed the South Korean following impressive displays with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, as well as with the South Korean national team. The latter notably shocked in their home-shared 2002 World Cup.
Although slightly controversial their progression may have been – PSV cemented Park's underground status as he thrilled in Europe. UEFA included him in the shortlist for their 2005 UEFA Best Forward award of which included greats like Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, Adriano, and Andriy Shevchenko. Such was Park's malleability under Sir Alex Ferguson, the South Korean enjoyed a career as a United stalwart – achieving the same trophy haul as his goalkeeper van der Sar. Ji-sung Park tallied up 208 total appearances for United.
12 Patrice Evra – 2004/05 From Monaco, £5.5 million
Sir Alex was really on the ball back in 2004/05, as the fourth featured signing here, and the third of the season comes in the shape of Patrice Evra. The Frenchman was another one of those to go on and thrive at Old Trafford – and embark on a long and fruitful career. Arriving from Monaco after a stellar season where his side were Champions League Runners-up to Jose Mourinho's Porto; Evra slowly evolved into one of the Premier League's toughest left-backs.
Another fervent Ferguson devotee (something he has taken into his punditry), Evra amassed 379 appearances for United and won a whopping total of 14 trophies.
11 Nemanja Vidic – 2005/06 From Spartak Moscow, £7 million
Arriving after our triplet of brilliance from 04/05, Serbian future-icon Nemanja Vidic came in from Spartak Moscow on the 25th of December, 2005. Alex Ferguson initially scouted the battling defender back in 2003 when he was just 21. By this point, he had trailblazed through both Red Star Belgrade and Spartak Subotica, before moving to the Russian Premier League as their rumoured most expensive defender ever. He must've been good right?
Well, United took the £7 million punt, and it returned defensive greatness that helped win ten honours in 381 total appearances.
10 Chris Smalling – 2010/11 From Fulham, £11 million
Chris Smalling's journey from non-league to Manchester United via Fulham is as charming as life after the historic English club. Where United wasn't perhaps a bad time in his career, what's impressive was the defender's choice to take to the continent, which after 323 appearances – isn't something English players have always been thoroughly renowned to do.
Smalling arrived a prodigy at United, but steadily developed into an Old Trafford favourite – playing for a transitioning club with Sir Alex's eventual departure after 26 seasons. Smalling, now 33, plays for Roma in Serie A – and has added to his two Premier Leagues, three Community Shields, EFL Cup and Europa League trophy; with the inaugural UEFA Conference League title in 2021-22. In that victory, he also firmly cemented himself in the competition's Team of the Season.
9 Michael Carrick – 2006/07 From Tottenham Hotspur, £14 million
In 2006, Michael Carrick had worked up quite the reputation as a quiet force in midfield. Similar to Park, but a little further back – Carrick could pass the ball excellently of course, yet he did the little bits too – that don't often get the plaudits. He laid the dancefloor for other creatives to dance on, and on so many occasions too.
After joining United for £14 million in July 2006, Carrick's displays as part of the Red Devils' machine saw him steadily become the most decorated English footballer of all time. Carrick's United spell was 464 outings strong, and brought 18 trophies. Interestingly, now he takes on a managerial career. Clearly as a player he knew how to get silverware – but will Carrick the gaffer repeat anywhere near this?

8 Antonio Valencia – 2009/10 From Wigan Athletic, £16 million
Antonio Valencia
Antonio Valencia is perhaps of Wigan Athletic's most cultured signings. An Ecuadorian winger-full-back-extraordinaire at the JJB? Barclays heritage, you could say. Valencia built on the hype and mystery after joining from Villareal on-loan then permanently, where just one full season was enough for Manchester United to want him.
Adept at both darting forward and helping the attack, he was also a unit who could provide lung-busting covering runs. Valencia, like many on this list, epitomise the hard workers that Sir Alex needed. Of course, he'd have his stars – but a Rooney or van Persie, would be nothing without a Valencia for instance. The former Ecuadorian captain wore United colours on 339 occasions and won nine honours in Manchester. Valencia didn't score often, but when he did – they tended to be magnificent.
7 David de Gea – 2011/12 From Atletico Madrid, £18.9 million
David de Gea signed for United on the 29th of June, 2011. He was brought in as a replacement from Atletico Madrid for the retiring Edwin van der Sar – and even bore likeness to the Dutch great over his formative years, which was furthered by the press dubbing him 'van der Gea'. He joined for a British record fee of £18.9 million, but did he warrant such?
Well, despite the press-mauling of de Gea's latest form before his departure into free agent obscurity, we'd say yes. An agile, cat-like shot-stopper – de Gea was key in so many trophy-wielding Man. United peaks. In 545 appearances, de Gea achieved a reputable 190 clean sheets and won eight major honours – most notably the 2012-13 Premier League title.
6 Robin van Persie – 2012/13 From Arsenal, £24 million
Treading on the lines of treachery, Robin van Persie joined Manchester United from top six rivals Arsenal in August 2012. Despite receiving £24 million for their star forward, Arsenal were no doubt a little dumbstruck – and van Persie became a critical part of the side that won the Premier League in 2012-13, as he netted a prolific 26 goals in 38 PL games and a hattrick that even sealed the title. That tally also found him with the Golden Boot ahead of Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale.
The Dutchman wouldn't win the Premier League again, but would still chip in with vital goals – to notch a total of 58 in 105 all-competition outings – and help stock his personal accolade shelves with FIFPro XI inclusions, 2012-13's goal of the season award, and even the Premier League 100 Club's Greatest Goal Award.

روى طارق حامد لاعب ضمك السعودي، لأول مرة تفاصيل رحلته مع كرة القدم منذ بدايته وحتى انتقاله لنادي الزمالك، كاشفًا عن الصعوبات التي واجهها.
وقال طارق حامد في تصريحات عبر قناة “بي إن سبورتس”: “بدايتي في الكرة كان عمري 5 سنوات ألعب في الشارع مع أصدقائي، والناس كانت تقول إنني ألعب بشكل جيد، وعندما وصلت لسن 10 سنوات كانوا يقولون لي بأنني لا بد أن ألعب في نادي”.
وتابع: “ذهبت لاختبارات نادي المنصورة، وكانت 3 اختبارات، الأول والثاني نجحت فيهما، والثالث فشلت، كانت أول تجربة بالنسبة لي واستفدت منها، وفي السنة التالية ذهبت ونجحت، ولعبت حتى سن 14 سنة”.
وأضاف: “لكن اللعب في الناشئين لا يوجد فيه عقود، وأنا ظروفي المادية كانت صعبة، لأن والدي توفى وعمري شهرين، ووالدتي كانت هي الأم والأب، وأنا كنت أشعر بأنني عبء عليها لأنها تعمل أكثر من مهنة لكي توفي احتياجات البيت”.
وأردف: “أنا كنت أتمنى لعب الكرة، لكن في نفس الوقت كنت أحتاج إلى دخل لكي أساعد والدتي، قررت أن أخذ خطوة أخرى من أجل مساعدتها، كنت أريد أن تعيش أفضل، وقررت أنني لن ألعب كرة مرة أخرى، وفي هذا التوقيت الشباب في القرية كانوا يُسافرون إلى لبنان (تهريب)، وبالفعل جهزت جواز السفر لكي أسافر”.
واستكمل: “أنا كنت مُضطرًا للسفر، كنت أريد أن أبقى وأصبح لاعب كرة، لكن الظروف لم تُساعدني، أنا كنت أحصل على جنيه أو 75 قرش من والدتي لأسافر إلى المنصورة، وهذا كان عبئًا عليها، كنت أستقل سيارة إلى مركز طلخا، وبعد ذلك أسير على قدمي مسافة 5 كيلو متر لأنني لا أمتلك المال لكي أستقل سيارة أخرى، ثم أتدرب وأعود نفس المسافة سيرًا على الأقدام، لأوفر ثمن المواصلة لأتناول به عصير”.

واستمر: “الوضع كان صعبًا، لذلك قررت السفر لأساعد والدتي، لكن موضوع السفر توقف، خلال هذه الفترة كان لدي صديق أقنعني بأن أذهب للنادي الإسماعيلي، وذهبت بالفعل ونجحت في الاختبارات، لكن الأمر كان صعبًا بسبب عدم وجود سكن في المدينة، وصعب أذهب كل يوم للتدريبات وأعود”.
وتابع طارق حامد: “لكن صديقي كان يدفع لي الأموال لكي أسافر بها، ولم أكن أمتلك حذاء رياضي، فكان يقوم باستلافها من شخص آخر لكي أتدرب فيها وأعيدها له، الموضوع كان حلمًا بالنسبة لي وأصدقه، لكن في نفس الوقت الأمور كانت صعبة، ووالدتي رغم الظروف الصعبة كانت تساعدني؛ لذلك بعدما وصلت لما أنا عليه الآن أصبحت أمي قبل كل شيء وأهم من أي مخلوق”.
وأضاف: “بعد اختبارات الإسماعيلية والقناة وإنبي، والوضع كان صعبًا، فقررت أن أعمل في مطعم لمدة سنة وأنا أدرس، وكنت أحصل على راتب 240 جنيه، أخذ 100 وأعطي الباقي لوالدتي”.
واستطرد: “لكن ظل حلم لعب الكرة يراودني، فكان لدي صديق يلعب في كهرباء طلخة، ذهبت معه وكنت أشاهد اللاعبين وهم يتدربون، هنا ربنا تدخل، كان عندهم تقسيمة وينقصهم لاعب واحد، ولم يكن يوجد أحد غيري، فاستعانوا بي في التقسيمة، فقررت أن أتمسك بالفرصة، واللاعبون لم يُصدقوا مستواي، والمدرب بعد التمرين قال لي الموسم القادم ستكون معنا”.
واستمر: “بالفعل بعد الموسم تحدث معي المدير الإداري، وقال لي المدرب يريدك أن توقع على عقد، وبالفعل ذهبت ووقعت وحصلت على 1000 جنيه، كان هذا المبلغ في وقتها بالنسبة لي مبلغ كبير، وذهبت به لوالدتي وأعطيته لها”.
وأردف: “لعبت سنة مع كهرباء طلخة، ثم بعدها طلبني نادي طلائع الجيش في الدوري الممتاز للاختبار، كان أمر لا يُصدق، بعد اللعب في كهرباء طلخة فجأة أتدرب مع عبد الستار صبري والمدير الفني طلعت يوسف وأسماء كبيرة، ذهبت بالفعل وتدربت مع الفريق 3 مرات، وكان في ذهني أنه لا يوجد لاعب أفضل مني وكنت أثق في نفسي، وانتهت فترة الاختبارات وسافرت للمنصورة”.
وأشار: “بعدها نادي طلائع الجيش قام بشرائي من كهرباء طلخة، وعقدي وقتها كان 36 ألف جنيه، أخذت الـ 50% من عقدي وذهبت بها لوالدتي، لأنها صاحبة الفضل علي في كل شيء”.
وأضاف: “مسؤولو طلائع الجيش كانوا يعتبرونني مستقبل النادي وبنوا الخطط علي، بعد ذلك تعاملت مع فاروق جعفر المدير الفني الكبير والذي أحترمه على المستوى الشخصي، لكنه كان غير مقتنع بي تمامًا، وكنت ألعب بشكل جيد، لكن بعد نهاية الموسم رفض تواجدي، ومسؤولي النادي تعجبوا من قرار فاروق جعفر، ولكن الأخير أصر على رحيلي، لم أصدق ما حدث، وشعرت أنني سأبدأ من الصفر من جديد، لأنني لا أمتلك معارف أو علاقات”.
واستمر: “وقتها الكابتن عبد الجليل إمام اتصل بي وقال لن أتركك، سأخذك إلى سموحة، وبالفعل إداري النادي تواصل معي وذهبت لأجري اختبارات هناك تحت قيادة محسن صالح، وبعد أول تمرين قال لي يا طارق ستكون عندي رقم واحد، وطلب من المدير الإداري أن يوقع معي عقد”.
واسترسل: “المدير الإداري قال لي ما المبلغ الذي تريده، قلت له سأوقع على بياض واكتبوا ما تريدون، أنا لا أبحث عن الأموال بل في اللعب فقط وتوفير سكن، فقال العقد سيكون 250 ألف جنيه، بعد أن رحل محسن صالح وتولى تدريب الفريق الكابتن أحمد ساري كنت أجلس احتياطيًا، ثم تولى تدريب الفريق باتريس نوفو، وبعد أن شاهد المباريات السابقة للفريق، قال للمسؤولين (رقم 3 ده إللي مبوظ الفريق)، فأنا قلت لو أنت لست مُقتنعا بي أنت المُخطئ وليس أنا، شاهدني في الملعب وستقتنع بي رغمًا عنك، بعد مباراتين لم ألعب معه، تحدثت معه وقلت له لماذا لا ألعب، أنا لا أجد لاعب أفضل مني يُشارك، وبالفعل منذ أن دفع بي ظللت أساسيًا ولم أجلس احتياطيًا مرة أخرى”.
وبسؤاله، كيف ذهبت لـ الزمالك؟، قال: “أنا رغبتي كانت دائمًا الزمالك، لأنني أنتمي للفريق منذ الصغر، وقلت قبل ذلك في لقاء أنه شرف لي أن أرتدي قميص القلعة البيضاء، مع إحترامي الكامل للنادي الأهلي وجمهوره، لكن أنا أحب الأبيض، كنت أريد وأنا في سموحة أن أحقق حلمي الأكبر وهو اللعب في صفوف الأبيض”.
واستمر: “أهم مباراتين في الموسم مع سموحة كانتا الزمالك والأهلي، كنت أتابع اللاعبين الذين يلعبون في نفس مركزي وأقول لنفسي أنا أفضل منهم، كنت أنتظر مواجهة الزمالك، وكان يلعب في نفس مركزي الثنائي إبراهيم صلاح وعاشور الأدهم، كنت أفكر في الفوز بالمباراة أولًا، والمعركة الثانية بالنسبة لي أن أثبت أنني أفضل، كنت أبذل مجهودًا كبيرًا وأتحدث مع نفسي طوال المباراة لكي أصل لأقوى شيء عندي، والحمد لله ربنا أكرمني بأن ألعب في الزمالك، وهذا بيتي وشرف لي أن اسمي ارتبط بالنادي”.
وأوضح: “انتقالي من سموحة لـ الزمالك لم يكن سهلًا، فرج عامر قال لي أحتاجك في الفريق وخذ الأموال التي تريدها، قلت له أنا لعبت 4 سنوات في الفريق وأشعر أنني أعطيت أقصى ما لدي، وحلمي أن أنتقل للزمالك وأحقق إنجازات وأصنع تاريخ، وقتها كان حمادة صدقي المدير الفني، ورفض رحيلي بقوة بحجة أنه يحتاجني، قلت له أنا أحترمك لكنك كنت تلعب في المنيا ولم يعرفك أحد إلا عندما لعبت للأهلي وأصبحت تمتلك سيارة جيدة والناس تلتقط الصور معك، لماذا تقف أمام رغبتي، وقلت له لو فعلت ذلك قسما بالله لن أسامحك وسأحسبن عليك طوال حياتي، وقتها وافق، وانتقلت للأبيض”.
واختتم: “عندما كنت في سموحة خسرت الدوري والكأس، وكان أمرًا عاديًا بالنسبة لي، عكس الزمالك لو هذا حدث القيامة تقوم، عندما تذهب لناد كبير وتفوز ببطولة مُستحيل إنك تكسل في البطولة التالية”.

Jason Holder is set to join Northamptonshire as an overseas player for the early weeks of the 2019 season.Holder, the West Indies captain, is understood to have agreed a deal to represent the county in April ahead of West Indies’ trip to Ireland from May 1, as part of their World Cup preparations.That means he should be available for two Championship and five One-Day Cup games. He is currently rated 10th in the ICC’s Test bowling rankings and third in their Test all-rounder rankings.Northants have previously announced that South African batsman Temba Bavuma will join them from May for around eight Championship matches, while Faheem Ashraf will join them for the T20 competition.
