Crystal Palace fans react as Burnley keeper Adam Legzdins scores against the U23s

Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after they discovered that Burnley goalkeeper Adam Legzdins had scored a late equaliser against the Eagles’ U23 side on Thursday.

The south Londoners went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Brandon Aveiro and Rob Street, although they were pegged back in the most unlikely of circumstances right at the death – the 95th minute to be exact.

After Ali Koiki pulled a goal back with his ninth strike of the campaign, Palace were forced to settle for a point as 32-year-old Legzdins rose highest to nod home a stoppage-time corner, in what can be considered as a freak event.

Burnley’s U23 side remain unbeaten this term, but a few Palace fans on Twitter saw the funny side of it at least.

One simply posted some laughing emojis, whereas another said that it was “typical Palace”.

Let’s take a look at some more of the Twitter reaction…
